I love Butterfly Nectar! This is one of the first fragrances I bought from DSH. It is light, a great spring/summer scent, and the honey note is very lovely. This is one I will definitely repurchase.

This felt very much in the vein of Mirabella to me with more of a gourmand edge thanks to the vanilla and, at times, I felt a kind of chocolate vibe sneaking through. Thankfully it boasts a better longevity on my skin than Mirabella. I didn’t get the lavendar and hay that others seem to have but I can absolute attest to this scent being utterly transporting.

My flirty alternate name for “I Love You, Mary Jane” would be “Beach Blanket Bongo.” ILYMJ is light and sweet without being cloying and the clear cannabis note lends a touch of unapologetic naughtiness to its sweetness (Is she who you really think she is?). I am not typically fond of sweet scents on me and I love ILYMJ.

Voices of Trees is MAGNIFICENT!
Dawn has captured the wildness, the soothing earthy vibration, the richness, the sensuousness, the texture, the aura, the voices, the very breath…………..of Trees.
On the first whiff I was immediately grounded, and my vibration raised.
I was transported to a wooded haven, sitting on soft mossy ground, with my back against a tall sumptuous pine tree; the wind whispering in the sky above me, secrets shared among the boughs of fragrant needles and tender leaves.
This is a transformational aroma experience. Beautiful, rich, wild and woody. This aroma is a must have for the fall and winter, especially if you love the outdoors. And it’s not “just a pine scent.” There are woods, and spices and an incense note that will blow your mind. This aroma is sophisticated and complex! The descipt mentions “for men” but on women it seems to get a little sweeter. Voices of Trees is Divine and Sacred. A must have this holiday season – or any season!
Amazing perfume!

This is the most delicious rose perfume I have ever experienced. It is a rich, heady perfume that smells both like the lushest, most perfect rose one has ever smelled, and also something else. The scent has depth and complexity – it captures the essential essence of the rose by going beyond it, and incredible staying power. I’m buying more of this and wearing it all through this dreary, gray, cold season to give myself hits of happiness a throughout the day.

Lightly spicy, just-right sweet. Warm, golden honey with richly fragrant dates, sandalwood and lavendar notes. Beautiful.

I’ve finally found it!! This is the Holy Grail Vanilla!! Yes, it’s better than Guerlain SDV, Tobacco Vanille, Vanille 44, Vaniglia Del Madagascar, and all the rest. No synthetic notes…real vanilla bean extract!

Glorious in eau de parfum! As the many trees whisper and sing I’m feeling a little Greek, a little Druidic, a little American West.

My pronouns are she/her/hers and I *adore* this unsweet but sweetly reassuring scent.

Another amazing beauty from Dawn Spencer Hurwitz, this one starring truly luscious, sweet, fresh, lovely rose. Peach and maybe mandarin notes dance in and out; I catch gorgeous whiffs of jasmine and hints of iris as I move. Like every DSH creation I’ve worn there is a *lot* going on here…way too much for my simple mind to name or analyze. The overall impression is a cool, energizing, enchanting, slightly balsamic rose feast. Very well named!

This is an excellent fragrance! Very well blended. I honesty can’t say that I have smelled a vanilla fragrance like Vanille Botanique. I received a sample vial with a purchased order of a different fragrance and I was fascinated at the first sniff.

Voices of Trees is what I have always wanted. Every time I walk through forest of pine or evergreens I wish for a scent that would be like the green of the fresh trees and the smell of the warm dry pine needles under my feet when I walk on them- the warm, soft, ambery scent they release when they are warmed by the sun in the summer, when steps release their scent and it rises up and envelops me softly. That smell makes me happy, that smell comforts me. But I could also be in a forest in the cold North East U.S. in winter. And it also reminds me of that scent of the pinon and juniper baking in the sun in New Mexico. Deep in the Blue Ridge mountains of NC in the early fall, a forest I visited in the Balkans in April…you could be in a forest anywhere, not necessarily in a specific region or during one season. The pine is definitely the top note, but it’s not necessarily a cold Christmas tree, it’s warm and wonderful. I want to wear it in fall and winter.

Comment on Vanilla Chantilly by SonoraScent

This is a gorgeous fragrance in every way. It’s unmistakably vanilla-centered, but it’s got so much personality. The creamy, sugary notes are airy-powdery, and the warming spices add just the right touch, ensuring this stays pretty without ever becoming cloying. I’ve worn this a few days in a row, and every person I’ve been with has said to me that I smell “so good” or “lovely” or “beautiful”. This is not reminiscent of Houbigant’s iconic Chantilly perfume, which was inspired by fine lace. Vanilla Chantilly is pure “crème Chantilly” (sweet whipped cream) nommé après le Château de Chantilly, (de la Maison de Montmorency). It lasts from bath to bath, and it’s wonderfully tenacious on clothing; getting deeper and drier as the hours pass. The quality is outstanding, of course, making this fun, light-hearted perfume a treasure to own and to wear.

I like tuberose and own all of the usual suspects – Fracas, Michelle, Mahora etc – but Dawn’s Tubereuse is flat out the most beautiful tuberose soliflore I’ve ever encountered. I don’t know what makes it so exceptional – maybe it’s the quality of ingredients or something special none of the others in my closet have; I mean it’s just another Tuberose parfum right? But it’s not. The entire time I wear it I am aware of it’s radiance in a most pleasant way, and wrist sniffing is difficult to resist. Exceptional.

My. God. Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Vanilla Chantilly is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I had been searching for a comforting milk-vanilla scent, and this just fits the bill without any uncomfortable musk or notes that are too perfume-y. This is very much a soothing, foody skin scent.

When I first apply it, I smell milky vanilla, but just a whisper. Unlike other fragrances, which tend to be loudest upon application and really hit you with the top notes, this one starts out soft. I kept turning my head (I apply in the baby hairs at the sides of my neck) to make sure I could really smell it. The scent does grow stronger after some wear, but it does remain a skin scent, so don’t expect wild sillage.

As the fragrance wears, I smell a lightly nutty cream, almost like buttercream or the scent of a scoop of whipped cream and nuts from the top of a sundae. This really is just a delightful fragrance. I’m surprised that Au Lait is a more popular scent in this line, because this is basically what I had hoped for when I sampled Au Lait.

I plan on buying myself a full bottle of this in the future, now that I’ve sampled it. If you’re looking for the ultimate comfort scent that you can sleep in or wear just for yourself, even in public, definitely try Vanilla Chantilly. If Ava Luxe Milk or Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Au Lait didn’t work for you (they didn’t for me because of the perfumey musk), this might be exactly what you want. This is gentle self-love in a bottle.
